The Good News About Bad News

The world sees bad news as getting shoved into a bottomless black pit. As believers (more than believers, knowers of Christ) we have been given a safety net, JESUS, with full assurance of salvation, His grace and love. Before, during, and after the news reaches our ears we can:

  • live intentionally with passion and purpose;
  • reach out and love others well; and
  • do so with arms full of gratitude for the abundant blessings God has given us…

El-Shaddai (Lord God Almighty, from whom all blessings flow)

We can be calmed by the warm strength of His amazing LOVE that will carry us in ways we cannot comprehend, over rough roads we didn’t choose to traverse…

Jehovah-Raah (The Lord Is My Shepherd)

We share these, and many more, TRUTHS that bond us and we link our arms to take the hardest paths together, with Jesus by our side the entire journey…

Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There)

The bad news experiences are the seasons of hardest PEACE, where walking our path of faith turns into climbing the mountain cliffs. The Word of God reminds us we will not fall if we don’t look down. Keep our eyes on Jesus. Stay close to our Great Guide, and accept His gifts of rest and peace…

Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)

Together we have HOPE, for we know the days before us are in God’s hands. As we repent and humble ourselves in these scary and painful moments, our worldly problems become minuscule and fade as we focus vertically on our Lord. Our perspective gains a higher view…

El Elyon (The Most High God)

This is the active fulfilling of our calling, that through the roughest times of our lives we will be a shining light to those of the world who have fallen into the darkness of self-pity and despair. Our most difficult experiences create in us stronger roots of FAITH, empathy, and compassion, which eventually blossoms and produces the fruits of ministering to others. This encourages us by showing us how God redeems our lives and how we can glorify Him in all circumstances. However acute or chronic our pain and suffering, we’ve learned how to continue to praise the Lord, speaking His wonderful name in our hardest hours, still on our knees praying for others, and drawing in deeper to the Lord as we are being refined in the process of sanctification…

Jehovah Mekoddishkem (The Lord Who Sanctifies You)

We are loved by GOD, who is a healer. He repairs our bodies, transforms our minds, heals our hearts and refreshes our souls. We serve a God who loves us enough to have a relationship with us and gave us Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, and prayer, so we can lay our hurts, fears, and pain at his feet, and then let them go…

Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals)

AndJOY is given to us through knowing that our bodies on earth are temporary and only a wisp of vapor compared to the splendor of our eternal existence living in the very presence of…

El Olam (The Everlasting God)!

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven – Psalm 148:13
